Wild Food and Plant ID Series
With winter starting to lose its grip we'll
look at plants just as they start to break dormancy. This walk will be in the
suburban "wilds" with a few hours of identifying and collecting. Then we'll go
inside, get warm by the stove and fire, and prepare what we have collected.
We'll gather salad greens, roots, twigs, and sap (if it's running). We'll also
point out native plants, non-native invasives, poisonous plants, and utilitarian
plants.
